Flo & Stan finally get their B L O G going xxx

Flo & Stan finally have got their BLOG going... this is an amazing feat as the love of scissors and glue, rather than technology always overrides.

If you don't know who we are, we are a recently opened independent home boutique in Albert Road, Southsea, Hampshire.  The name Flo & Stan comes from my grandparents, who were pretty cool people with a great work ethic, unfortunately the other half of the business, my husband Del never got to meet them, but I'm sure they'd have been great friends.

We stock design led products - concentrating on affordability, colour and a gentle kitsch quirkiness, we mix this with ever changing vintage finds, usually from around the 1950's to 1970's and a small gallery area which houses local artists and designers.

Artwork by Rob Ryan
We have art workshops planned - June 28/29, 7.00 to 9.00, so if you fancy trying your hand a the art of paper cutting - think Rob Ryan.

We will be designing and cutting our own images. There is a maximum of 4 adults to allow for more individual attention.

The cost is £45 to include all materials, tea and homemade cake will be provided to keep the creative juices flowing.

The workshop will be held in Flo & Stan, contact me via email if you're interested... floandstan@hotmail.co.uk

This bank holiday weekend, Albert Road is hosting a DAISY CHAIN FESTIVAL (May 29), with theatre performances, street art, music and general fun and games! Most of the independent shops will be open, including ourselves, so if you fancy something different for your bank holiday SUNDAY, pop along to Albert Road.  Hopefully we'll see you then...
